“12 Natural Toothpaste Alternatives”

This is a great page! I have been doing oil pulling, #12, and I am so happy with what it’s done for my teeth. My teeth used to be super sensitive, so much so that I could hardly eat many fruits and vegetables (not good when you love raw food!). Oil pulling has taken away my tooth sensitivity as well as having many other great health benefits which I’ll post about it a different article. But for now, here are some ideas for natural tooth care…

“Natural toothpaste alternatives are all the rage these days. So, what’s wrong with toothpaste? Well, like most commercial health and beauty products on the market, toothpaste has been industrialized over the years. Here are just a few of the questionable ingredients commonly found in commercial toothpastes…”

“Celiac Disease and Gluten Intolerance Testing- Accurate or Misleading?”

This was a very helpful and informative article since I have noticed that I am sensitive to gluten and have been wondering what I should do next. It points out some of the problems with currently used methods of diagnosing and helped me feel better able to make an informed decision about my own health.

“…When Jane’s results came back negative, her physician told her that she did not need to follow a gluten-free diet. She was relieved and excited, but she also told me she knew something was still wrong because of her ongoing gastrointestinal symptoms. I convinced her to go gluten-free for two weeks and see if she felt any relief. By the end of the first week, her gastrointestinal symptoms had gone away. Her question to me then became, “Do I have gluten sensitivity? Was the test a false negative? What should I do?”…”

“11 Banned Food Ingredients Still Allowed in the U.S.”

This is a super interesting article! Here’s one of the ingredients listed that is so important to know about since almost everyone drinks milk or uses milk products (cheese, yogurt, ice cream, sour cream, cream cheese, etc.). It is because of things like this, as well as other reasons, that I left off using cow’s milk quite a while back. And, as a side note, I found that my seasonal allergies went from horrific to now where I barely notice a difference during allergy season! That sure made me happy! 😀

“3. Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone and Recombinant Bovine Somatropin

“To increase milk production in cows, many U.S. dairy farmers have turned to recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH) and recombinant bovine somatropin (rBST). The use of these synthetic hormones is not permitted in the European Union, Canada, and some other countries, due to human and animal health risks. According to the American Cancer Society, cows treated with rBGH tend to develop more udder infections (mastitis). These cows are given more antibiotics than cows not given rBGH, and this increased use of antibiotics might lead to more antibiotic-resistant bacteria which could pose a health concern for people. To dodge these controversial chemicals try buying milk labeled rBGH/rBST-free or organic milk…”

“Busting the 8-Hour Sleep Myth: Why You Should Wake Up in the Night”

It seems I almost always take a long time to fall asleep, and wake up during the night! I thought it was insomnia, but this article suggests that may not be the case. This is a super interesting article!

“Mounting evidence suggests, however, that nocturnal awakenings aren’t abnormal at all; they are the natural rhythm that your body gravitates toward. According to historians and psychiatrists alike, it is the compressed, continuous eight-hour sleep routine to which everyone aspires today that is unprecedented in human history. We’ve been sleeping all wrong lately — so if you have “insomnia,” you may actually be doing things right…”

“The Hallelujah Diet”

God’s Word is the reason I chose to change my diet and my lifestyle. And since making that choice, I have seen over and over that what God said thousands of years ago in the Bible, is today being promoted by science!

This is the same thing that the founder of Hallelujah Acres found in his research. I liked this article found on the Hallelujah Acres website because it speaks about the Biblical foundation for choosing a vegan diet.

“By replacing dead, processed food with fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables, you’re giving your body the fuel it needs to renew its living cells. And that means your body will be healthier, stronger, and more powerful – no matter what your age!”

“And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for [food].”

Genesis 1:29

“Genesis 1:29 is God’s original diet for mankind. In it, He gives man a plant-based diet of foods packed with living enzyme – the life force that enables the body to regenerate its living cells at a stable or improved state…”
